New army study tests remote support to prevent suicide after psychiatric discharge

Summary

This study is testing a 6-month, remote support program called Pathfinding for active-duty soldiers who have just left a psychiatric hospital. The goal is to see if this extra help, on top of usual care, can reduce suicide attempts and related behaviors. About 1,500 soldiers across the U.S. will take part and be followed for a year.
