New hope for GVHD patients: ruxolitinib tested as First-Line therapy

NCT ID NCT06660355

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study compares two drugs, ruxolitinib and prednisone, as the first treatment for chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD), a complication after bone marrow transplant. About 120 adults who need systemic therapy for cGVHD will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two drugs. The goal is to see if ruxolitinib works better than the standard steroid treatment at controlling the disease without needing additional therapies.
