New study aims to help rural smokers kick the habit for good

Summary

This study looks at different methods to help people in rural areas quit smoking. Rural adults smoke more and have higher rates of smoking-related cancers. Researchers will enroll 272 participants across the country to compare quit-smoking strategies and see which ones work best. The main goal is to find out how many people can stay smoke-free for at least 7 days after 3 months.
