Digital Doctor's visit aims to help rural smokers kick the habit
NCT ID NCT05764759
Summary
This study is testing whether an online questionnaire (an 'e-visit') can help people in rural areas quit smoking. About 288 adult smokers from rural South Carolina clinics will be randomly assigned to either complete the e-visit or receive usual care. The e-visit asks about smoking history and motivation to quit, and may lead to a prescription for quit-smoking medication, but taking medication is optional.
