Brain zaps may boost thinking in Parkinson's vets

NCT ID NCT03836950

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests a non-invasive treatment called rTMS (repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation) to see if it can safely improve thinking skills in veterans with Parkinson's disease who have mild memory or attention problems. About 56 veterans will receive the treatment, and researchers will measure changes in executive function (like planning and focus). The goal is to find a new way to ease cognitive symptoms without medication.
