First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding a non-invasive magnetic brain stimulation (rTMS) to standard exercise therapy could reduce pain and improve quality of life in people with fibromyalgia. Forty-two adults with long-term pain participated, receiving either real or placebo rTMS alongside rehabilitation exercises. Researchers measured pain levels, depression, and daily function over 14 to 26 weeks.
