NCT ID NCT07304544
First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested whether a 12-week nursing program based on the Roy Adaptation Model (RAM) could improve anxiety, depression, and quality of life in 115 adults who recently had a colostomy. Participants either received RAM nursing (education, support, family training, and follow-up calls) or standard stoma care. The study also looked at changes in stress and inflammation markers in the blood. Results may help improve emotional well-being after colostomy surgery.
