First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at 500 adults with severe heart failure or shock who need a mechanical heart pump placed through the leg artery. Researchers want to see if routinely placing an extra leg catheter to keep blood flowing is better than only placing it when problems arise. The goal is to reduce serious leg complications like blocked blood flow.
