Heart drug tested to shield vessels from reflow damage
NCT ID NCT07192744
Summary
This small study tested whether a drug called rotigaptide could protect blood vessels from damage that sometimes occurs when blood flow returns after being blocked. Researchers enrolled 12 healthy, non-smoking men to measure blood flow in their forearms after creating a temporary blockage. The goal was to understand if this drug might help prevent vessel damage in heart conditions.
