Scientists test 'Living Patch' to heal torn shoulders

NCT ID NCT05855759

Summary

This study is testing a new surgical approach for repairing severe rotator cuff tears. Researchers are using a special human skin patch combined with a patient's own bone marrow and tissue cells to reinforce the repair. The goal is to see if this combination helps the tendon heal better and reduces the chance of it tearing again after surgery.
