Human skin patch tested to heal shoulder tears

NCT ID NCT05855759

Summary

This study is testing a new surgical method to repair severe rotator cuff tears in the shoulder. Doctors will use a special patch made from human skin tissue combined with cells taken from the patient's own bone marrow and shoulder bursa. The goal is to see if this combination helps the tendon heal better and reduces the chance of it tearing again after surgery.
