New study tests simple fluoride treatments to halt root decay in seniors

Summary
This study tests whether different fluoride products (varnish, solution, or mousse) can stop root cavities from getting worse in adults over 44. About 136 people in Bern, Switzerland will use a fluoride toothpaste plus one of the extra treatments for 6 months. The goal is to find the best way to control root decay without drilling or filling.
