New study tests simple fluoride treatments to halt root decay in seniors

Summary

This study looks at whether different fluoride products (varnish, solution, or mousse) can stop root cavities from getting worse in adults over 44. About 136 people in Bern, Switzerland will use a special toothpaste and one of the fluoride treatments for 6 months. The goal is to find an easy, non-surgical way to control root decay and improve oral health in older adults.
