Root canal study: which sealer hurts less and heals better?
NCT ID NCT07339579
First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at 72 adults with infected tooth roots to see if the type of sealer used during root canal treatment affects pain and healing. Patients received one of three common sealers, and their pain was checked right after, at 24 hours, and at 72 hours. Healing was checked with X-rays and 3D scans after six months. The goal is to help dentists choose the best material for comfort and recovery.
