New drug may keep platelets up during lymphoma chemo
NCT ID NCT04673266
First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether the drug romiplostim can help prevent dangerously low platelet counts caused by chemotherapy in lymphoma patients. Eleven adults with lymphoma received romiplostim alongside their chemo to see if it could reduce the need for treatment delays, lower chemo doses, or platelet transfusions. The goal was to keep chemotherapy on track and improve safety.
