NCT ID NCT06425016

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study compares early pain after two types of weight-loss surgery: robotic sleeve gastrectomy and laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy. About 91 people who qualify for sleeve gastrectomy will be randomly assigned to one of the two procedures. The main goal is to see if robotic surgery leads to less pain on the first day after surgery, measured by how much pain medication is needed.
