Robotic pets calm ICU patients to help them breathe on their own
NCT ID NCT07163247
Summary
This study tests whether having a robotic pet companion can help reduce anxiety in intensive care unit (ICU) patients who are trying to breathe without ventilator support. Researchers will enroll 24 adult patients who have previously struggled with this breathing test. They will measure anxiety levels, breathing success, and whether patients can have their breathing tubes removed sooner with the robotic pet's support.
