New program aims to unlock independence for autistic adults through rideshare training
NCT ID NCT06323850
Summary
This study tested a training program designed to help autistic adults learn to use rideshare apps like Uber or Lyft. The goal was to see if the training was helpful and acceptable, and if it could improve participants' independence and safety when using this form of transportation. Researchers worked with 13 autistic adults in Virginia to see if the program could make it easier for them to get around their community for work, social activities, and errands.
