Brain scans reveal hidden links to brittle bones

NCT ID NCT07030205

First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at how osteoporosis might change the way different parts of the brain communicate. Researchers will compare brain scans from 60 postmenopausal women—some with osteoporosis and fractures, some with osteoporosis but no fractures, and some healthy volunteers. Participants will also answer questionnaires about memory, mood, sleep, and quality of life, and provide a blood sample to measure bone health markers.
