First seen Feb 25, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a special starch (resistant starch) can improve heart health and gut bacteria in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). About 100 women with PCOS will take either the starch or a placebo for 12 weeks. The goal is to see if this simple dietary change can lower cholesterol, blood sugar, and blood pressure, and improve gut health.
