Summary
This study tested a program called IMPROVE that teaches college students how to manage stress and uncertainty, with the goal of reducing heavy drinking. Forty students who drank heavily and felt anxious took part. They completed surveys and used their phones to report drinking in real time. The study checked if the program was easy to use and if it helped lower anxiety and drinking.
