First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tests whether a procedure to remove blood clots from a medium-sized brain artery can help people who have had a moderate-to-severe stroke. About 200 adults aged 18-84 who are not helped by standard clot-busting drugs will be randomly assigned to receive the procedure or usual care. The goal is to see if the procedure leads to better recovery and less disability.
