First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study is for people who have had a moderate to severe stroke caused by a blockage in a medium-sized brain artery. It compares standard care plus a procedure to remove the clot (endovascular therapy) with standard care alone. The goal is to see if the procedure helps more people recover independence. About 200 adults aged 18-84 who can be treated within 24 hours of stroke symptoms will take part.
