New drug combo could boost stroke recovery in major trial

Summary
This study tests whether adding the blood thinner tirofiban after standard stroke treatment helps people recover better. About 564 adults who had a stroke from a blocked large artery will be randomly assigned to get tirofiban or usual care. The goal is to see if more people can live independently 90 days later, while monitoring for bleeding risks.
