First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding the blood thinner tirofiban after standard stroke treatment helps people recover better from a severe stroke caused by plaque buildup in a large artery. About 564 adults in China will receive either tirofiban or usual care after a clot-removal procedure. The goal is to see if more patients can live independently 90 days later, while monitoring for bleeding risks.
