Summary
This study looks at a non-surgical procedure called renal embolization to shrink enlarged kidneys in 30 dialysis patients with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). The goal is to reduce kidney size enough to allow for a kidney transplant, which is often delayed when the kidneys are too large. The procedure uses a liquid agent to block blood vessels in the kidney, and the team will track volume changes with MRI over 12 months.
