Smart sock for babies aims to keep them out of the hospital

Summary
This study is testing whether sending high-risk babies home from the NICU with a special sock that monitors their oxygen levels can help prevent emergency room visits and hospital readmissions. Researchers will compare 700 infants who use the monitoring device for 6 months to those who receive standard care. The goal is to see if early warning signs from the monitor allow parents and doctors to act sooner and keep babies healthier at home.
