First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 38 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a protein called neurofilament light chain in the blood can help track brain changes in people who have a family history of frontotemporal dementia. About 342 participants will give blood samples every 3 months for 3 years, all from home. The goal is to understand how this protein changes over time, not to treat or cure the disease.
