Music as medicine: new study tests relaxation tunes for gut pain

Summary
This study looks at whether listening to relaxation music can reduce chronic pain and anxiety in people with IBS, Crohn's disease, or colitis. About 120 adults in the U.S. who have had moderate to severe pain for at least 3 months will participate. The goal is to find a safe, non-addictive way to manage pain without using opioids.
