Can exercise rehab help patients breathe easier after a serious lung clot?
NCT ID NCT04615130
Summary
This study is testing if a 6-week outpatient exercise and breathing program (pulmonary rehabilitation) can help people who still have symptoms like shortness of breath and fatigue months after a pulmonary embolism (lung clot). About 48 participants will be randomly assigned to either start the rehab program right away or after a waiting period. The main goal is to see if the program improves how far a person can walk in 6 minutes, along with other measures of fitness, breathing strength, and quality of life.
