Could regular MRIs replace frequent biopsies for prostate cancer patients?

Summary
This study compares regular MRI scans to the usual monitoring for men with low-to-medium risk prostate cancer who choose active surveillance. Over 5 years, researchers will see if MRIs catch cancer progression earlier and reduce the need for biopsies and other tests. About 1,263 participants will be randomly assigned to either regular MRIs or standard care.
