Summary

This study tested a therapy called BE-SMART-DR in 65 teens and young adults with bipolar disorder or major depression who had suicidal thoughts or past attempts. The therapy teaches self-guided strategies to regularize sleep and daily rhythms to reduce short-term suicide risk. Participants used tools to track their sleep and daily activities, and the study measured changes in suicidal thinking and sleep quality.
