Summary

This study tests a special program for women leaving prison who have a history of substance use and trauma. The program uses a trauma-informed approach to help them build supportive relationships and reduce their risk of overdose. About 264 women will take part, and researchers will track changes in substance use and trauma symptoms after they return to the community.
