Summary

This study looks at whether a special training program can help surgeons and hospital staff reduce the number of opioid painkillers they prescribe after surgery. About 40 healthcare workers and patient representatives at hospitals in North Carolina will take part. The goal is to see if the program is practical and effective in cutting down on unnecessary opioid use.
