New study aims to prevent Alcohol-Related harm in pregnancy

Summary
This study tests a program to help pregnant women reduce alcohol use. 600 pregnant women who recently drank alcohol will receive either a computer-based motivational session plus nurse support, or standard care. The goal is to see if the program leads to more women having negative alcohol blood tests and fewer preterm or low-birth-weight babies.
