NCT ID NCT06579170

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tracks 2,500 people and their dogs at four Canadian beaches to see how often they get sick from blue-green algae in the water. Researchers will measure stomach bugs, skin rashes, eye infections, and breathing problems linked to swimming or playing in algae-affected water. The goal is to provide the first solid data on these risks in Canada.
