Do 'artificial pancreas' systems work for everyday patients?

NCT ID NCT05418699

Summary

This study looked at how well automated insulin pumps, often called 'closed-loop' systems, control blood sugar in people with Type 1 diabetes during real-life use. It followed 410 patients who were already using these devices in regular hospital clinics, not just in strict research trials. The goal was to see if the pumps are as effective for a wider range of people as they are in controlled studies.
