First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study looked at two established procedures for treating Barrett's esophagus, a condition that can lead to esophageal cancer. Researchers compared how much pain and discomfort patients felt after radiofrequency ablation versus hybrid argon plasma coagulation. The goal was to see which treatment patients tolerate better, focusing on pain right after the procedure and up to 30 days later. 62 adults with Barrett's esophagus took part.
