Pharmacist check could cut risks in new cancer radiation treatments

Summary
This study looks at whether having a radiopharmacist review a patient's full medication list before they receive targeted radionuclide therapy (TRT) can prevent drug-related problems. TRT uses radioactive drugs to kill cancer cells while sparing healthy tissue. The study will include 600 adults with thyroid cancer, metastatic prostate cancer, or neuroendocrine tumors. Researchers will compare safety outcomes between patients who get a medication review and those who do not.
