New skin treatment tested for stubborn dark patches

NCT ID NCT06616311

Summary

This study tested whether a procedure called radiofrequency microneedling could improve melasma, a common skin condition causing dark patches. Ten adults with darker skin tones received three treatments over three months. Researchers measured changes in the severity of the dark patches and asked participants about their quality of life to see if the treatment helped.
