Shorter radiation course tested for rare cancer
NCT ID NCT05109494
Summary
This study is testing if a shorter, more intense course of radiation therapy is as safe and effective as the standard longer course when given before surgery for soft tissue sarcoma. It will involve 30 adults with this rare cancer, comparing five high-dose treatments over 1-2 weeks to the standard 25 treatments over 5 weeks. The goal is to see if the shorter treatment works just as well while reducing side effects and the time patients wait for surgery.
