New radiation technique aims to zap brain tumors with fewer side effects

NCT ID NCT05393258

Summary

This pilot study tested a new way of delivering radiation to treat recurrent brain tumors. It involved 13 adults with a specific type of brain tumor that had returned after previous radiation. The new method splits the radiation dose into smaller, timed pulses to try to control the tumor while reducing side effects and improving quality of life.
