Radiation 'Primer' tested to boost chemo power against tough breast cancers

Summary
This study is testing if giving a short, targeted course of radiation before standard chemotherapy can improve treatment for people with high-risk, locally advanced breast cancer. The idea is that the radiation might 'prime' the immune system to help the chemotherapy work better. Researchers will measure if the combined treatment leads to a complete disappearance of cancer at surgery and will also check for immune system changes.
