Radiation 'Primer' tested to boost chemo power against aggressive breast cancer

NCT ID NCT03978663

Summary

This study is testing if giving a short, targeted course of radiation before standard chemotherapy can improve treatment results for people with high-risk breast cancer. The radiation aims to 'prime' the immune system to help the body fight the cancer. Researchers will measure if the combined treatment leads to a complete disappearance of cancer cells at surgery.
