Summary

This study tested a new medicine called SYN023 to prevent rabies in people who were bitten or scratched by animals like dogs or bats. About 448 adults at different risk levels received either SYN023 or the standard rabies shot, along with a rabies vaccine. The goal was to see if SYN023 works as well as the current treatment to stop rabies from developing.
