New injection aims to halt bone death in steroid users

Summary
This study tests an investigational drug called RAB001 in people with early-stage bone death (osteonecrosis) of the hip caused by long-term steroid use. About 160 participants will receive one of three doses of RAB001 by injection or a standard oral medication (alendronate). The goal is to see if RAB001 can reduce the size of the dead bone area and improve hip function over 48 weeks.
