First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests whether a bone graft substitute called Genex, combined with core decompression and bone marrow concentrate, can help regrow bone and prevent hip collapse in people with early-stage osteonecrosis (bone death) of the femoral head. Twenty-two adults with this condition are being treated and followed with X-rays and MRIs to check bone healing and pain. The goal is to control the disease and avoid or delay hip replacement.
