Smart scans may boost radiation success in advanced prostate cancer
NCT ID NCT05924672
First seen Jan 18, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special PET scan (PSMA PET) can help pick the right patients for radium-223 (Ra-223) radiation therapy. Ra-223 targets bone tumors in men with castration-resistant prostate cancer that has spread to the bones. The goal is to see if using the scan leads to better treatment responses, measured by a drop in PSA levels. Only 2 participants were enrolled, so results are very early.
