NCT ID NCT05913063
First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tests a new way to detect age-related macular degeneration (AMD) before it causes vision loss. Researchers will use special patterns of light, based on quantum science, to see if the eyes of people with early AMD react differently than healthy eyes. The goal is to catch the disease earlier than current methods allow, so treatment can start sooner. About 50 participants, including people with AMD and healthy volunteers, will take part.
