Summary
This study looked at 600 heart surgery patients to see if a new, rapid blood test called Quantra can accurately measure bleeding risk. The goal was to find out if Quantra could replace or support standard lab tests to help doctors decide when to give blood transfusions. The study did not test a new treatment, but aimed to improve how bleeding is monitored during surgery.
